Cox Country Club and Halloween in the Living Room

Greetings from a lovely rainy Darwin buildup morning.

Just a quick note for local Darwin folks to tell you I'll be doing a solo performance at Girls Night In - a fundraiser for women’s cancer research, prevention programs and support services this Sat 21st Oct from 6pm at one of my favourite Top End venues, the Cox Country Club in Wagait . Don't worry blokes, you're more than welcome to come and join in the fun! Link here to the event: Girls Night In at Cox Country Club

Also some news re the Living Room - a house concert/ intimate exhibition space I organise here in Darwin.
Following on from the success of last years group show It’s a Dog’s Life and Marita Albers recent solo exhibition “Birds Flying North”, we thought it time for another group show. Heading into the buildup we’re all looking for any excuse for a party so we've decided to have one!  Also with Christmas not that far away it will be a great opportunity for you to buy a piece of great local art for your loved ones.
When: Sat 28th October, opening at 6pm.
The theme is Halloween, Dia de los Muertos, Samhain, or however the artists interpret this theme. Artists include Marita Albers, Colin Holt, Franck Gohier, Chayni Henry, Glenn Campbell, Koulla Roussos plus more to be confirmed.
We encourage you to dress up in your favourite scary costume and hang around after the opening for drinks and food.
BYO grog and food will be provided by Taste Lab, (my culinary adventure with Chris Litowchak creating Mexican/Caribbean style street food) and available to purchase for a small price.
Looking forward to seeing lots of scary art and costumes!

Aside from that I'm looking forward to putting my head down this wet season and being creative. I've been talking to a few of my musical friends and there could be an interesting show hitting the road from Sydney to Darwin in the not too distant future. Watch this space!

Hope you're all keeping your head above water and your heart on your sleeve.

Cheers and beers

Tracey
