Check In from the UK

I know it's been a while since I checked in with you, but this travelling overseas caper has been hectic!
There's waaaay too much to tell you about in this email, so I'll keep it brief and share my travel stories over a beer or two when I get to see you in person. 🍻
Let me know where you are and I'll drop in on my next visit through. Or it might be a good excuse to take a detour if you're off the beaten track! 😀

If you've been following me on socials then you'll know the last few weeks have seen me in Tuscany, Nice, Marseille, Tarragona, Barcelona and Brussels! Amazing places and lots of new adventures and occasional misadventures along the way!
Bloody Mercury Retrograde definitely made my travel plans unpredictable. 😆

Needless to say it took me a few days of 12 hour sleeps to recover once I got back to Belgium, where I had a couple of weeks chilling with friends and helping them out at beer festivals. 🍺🍺🍺

I'm on the home stretch now and settled at my friend Sarah's place in Gillingham, Kent for the next couple of weeks before I fly home.
I've been doing a few shows while I'm here and am happy to report that audiences in Kent like my songs! 😍
I've got one more show booked at the City Wall Wine Bar in Rochester, Kent on Saturday 15th August at 5pm. If you're in the area, please drop in and say gidday as I'll be heading back to Aus a couple of days later. 🛫

There have been some great things happening music wise for me while I've been away. I was nominated as a finalist in the NT Music Awards, have had my album reviewed in Rhythms Magazine (see below) and my song A Summer Dress of Green is currently at #3 on the Australian Country Radio chart! Woohoo! 🥳

I've also got a couple of festivals confirmed back in Aus.
One of them is Uranquinty Folk Festival Oct 2-5 in Uranquinty NSW (with Ingrid Wangel on fiddle). My very first Quinty!  Looking forward to meeting old friends and making some new ones! 🎻

Hopefully there'll be a few more coming in and the odd gig in between. Please reach out if you have a favourite venue you think I need to be performing at, or if you want to host a house concert. I'm happy to give you information on how to do this if you're keen.

Tomorrow (which might be today in Australia!) I'm taking a trip into London for some birthday treats - a visit to Camden Market for a new frock, a West End show at Prince of Wales Theatre, and a cocktail or two at a flash hotel somewhere for some people watching!  Got any recommendations? 🍹🥂

Right now I'd better attend to the glamorous tasks of shopping for dinner and hanging out the washing! 😆

I really hope I get to catch up with you somewhere soon for a beer or glass of wine and a well overdue chinwag!

Until then I hope you're staying positive with all the shitification in the world by getting outside in the sun for some rays, having a few of your favourite beverages and listening to some good music.

See you on the road! 😀

Hugs
Tracey ❤️
